NOH8 Campaign

On November 4, 2008 Proposition 8 passed in California, amending the state Constitution to ban same-sex marriage. The defeat provoked a groundswell of initiative within the GLBT community at a grassroots level, with many new political and protest organizations being formed in response.

The NOH8 Campaign is a photographic silent protest created by celebrity photographer Adam Bouska and partner Jeff Parshley in direct response to the passage of Proposition 8. Photos feature subjects with duct tape over their mouths, symbolizing their voices being silenced by Prop 8 and similar legislation around the world, with “NOH8″ painted on one cheek in protest. www.noh8campaign.com

The fact that you are determined to fight for these rights makes you an amazing and genuine person. I think you deserve a lot of respect for doing all that. I hope someday the love between two people of the same sex will be accepted, if so, a lot more people shouldn’t have to hide their true feelings anymore. What you’re doing is really great! I think there should be more people as amazing as you are! Love your work & I really hope to meet you one day.

Hi Amber, Thanks for all that you do in promoting equality. You break a lot of ignorant people’s stereotypes on what gay looks or acts like. I first noticed how special you were in your Top Gear interview. I’m glad that NY has made progress and let’s hope other states will follow!! You are the most beautiful girl in Hollywood with a great personality, and you are a very talented actress. I’ll continue to support you. Thank you always for your intelligent remarks in interviews. Keep being yourself! You inspire me as well to be proud of who I am. I would be so honored if I could meet you one day. btw love the new Guess campaign! You look very classically beautiful, and the video has a cute storyline to it too! Yeah…put a ring on it. Good luck in your new movies! Will watch! and yay for Playboy Club!
