Equality California Awards

Each year Equality California honors the inspirational leaders and outstanding allied organizations whose selfless work helps create a better world for all people. The Equality Awards recognize the achievements of the organization, its sponsors, members, staff and volunteers, as well as the LGBT community.

This year’s Equality Awards honorees included California Surpreme Court Justice Carlos Moreno, Julia & Sam Thoron, Eric McCormack, Assembly Speaker John Pérez and the Right Reverend V. Gene Robinson.
I attended with Tasya. We were inspired beyond words to be among the bravest human-rights activists in the state. What an honor and pleasure it was to celebrate our efforts and achievements with some of the greatest our movement has to offer.
